FAQ
Gutters, explained plainly.
What are seamless gutters, and why do they matter?
A seamless gutter is one continuous length rather than short sections joined together along the roof. Every join in a gutter is a potential leak point, so fewer joins means fewer places for water to escape over time.
They also look cleaner along the fascia because you do not see a row of joints down the length of the roof.
How much does a gutter installation cost?
It depends on the length of the roofline, how many downpipes are needed, the height and access, and whether mesh is included. That is why we measure the roof before quoting instead of giving a number over the phone.
You get one clear quote before any work starts, and it does not change unless you ask for something different.
How long does the job take?
Most standard domestic installations are completed in a day. Larger properties, full replacements or industrial roofs can take longer, and we will tell you the expected timeframe when we quote.
Do I need gutter mesh?
If your property has trees nearby, mesh is usually worth it. Leaves and twigs block gutters and outlets, and a blocked gutter overflows exactly where you do not want water — against the wall.
Mesh does not eliminate maintenance entirely, but it turns a yearly cleaning job into something far less frequent.
Can you replace gutters without damaging my fascia or walls?
Yes. We strip the old system carefully, check the condition of the fascia underneath, and fit the new brackets properly. If we find rot or damage behind the old gutter, we tell you before covering it up.
What happens if my gutters overflow in heavy rain?
Overflowing usually means one of three things: the gutter is blocked, the fall is wrong, or there are not enough downpipes for the roof area. All three are fixable, and identifying which one it is starts with looking at the roofline.
Do you work on industrial buildings and complexes?
Yes. Industrial roofs and complexes have bigger catchment areas, which means more capacity and more downpipes. The approach is the same — measure properly, size the system correctly, install it cleanly.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Alberton and work across Gauteng, including Germiston, Boksburg, Benoni, Johannesburg South, Kempton Park, Midrand, Centurion and surrounding areas. If you are not sure whether you are in range, just ask.
How do I get a quote?
Call or WhatsApp JJ on 071 473 5409, or send the enquiry form on the contact page with a short description of what needs attention. We will arrange a time to come and look at the roof.
